Artemis Consulting Awarded Task Order to Support the National Audiovisual Conservation Center at the Library of Congress

Artemis Consulting, Inc. announced today that it was awarded a follow-on task order, with a ceiling value of over $750,000, to provide application development support services to the Library of Congress’ National Audiovisual Conservation Center (NAVCC). Artemis is thrilled to continue providing support to NAVCC through this second task order, awarded under the Library of Congress SDLC IDIQ contract. Artemis has been successfully providing the Library with IT services, including Agile-based application development, COTS product implementation and support, IT infrastructure services, web design, content management solutions and mobile development. 

The NAVCC Packard Campus is a state-of-the-art facility in Culpeper, Virginia. NAVCC acquires, preserves and provides access to the world’s largest and most comprehensive collection of films, television programs, radio broadcasts and sound recordings. The campus has a globally unprecedented capacity for the preservation of all audiovisual media formats (including obsolete formats dating back 100 years) and their long-term safekeeping in a petabyte-level digital storage archive.

Artemis Consulting has been working with the Packard Campus team to upgrade the existing order processing system and move it to a new modernized platform, create an improved and easy to navigate user interface, develop new functionality and enhancements, and fix existing issues. Artemis has developed a comprehensive solution that offers superior Agile application development expertise that enables a very productive collaborative working relationship with the NAVCC stakeholders. The end result will be a fully upgraded system using latest technologies, improved performance, enhanced security features and order processing workflows, and robust reporting capabilities to provide visibility into workload for NAVCC staff.
