Artemis encourages our employees to give back to our local communities by providing several volunteer activities for our staff to participate in yearly. This June, our staff volunteered their time at Food for Others in Fairfax, Virginia. The non-profit organization’s mission is to distribute free food to those in need in our neighboring communities by partnering with volunteers and organizations in Northern Virginia.
Artemis COO, Don Emerson, stated “It was nice to have the Artemis team working together with other volunteers at Food for Others to support such a meaningful cause. Artemis believes in giving back with our time, resources and talent to local charitable organizations where we, our employees and clients live and work.” Our employees helped with a variety of tasks at the non-profit’s warehouse. Activities ranged from packing food boxes and sorting food to stocking shelves, bagging groceries and helping clean up the warehouse.
Staff who volunteered enjoyed providing assistance at the warehouse and found the staff to be pleasant, helpful and appreciative of their time and effort. One of our employees explained, “It was wonderful to help an organization that helps distribute free food to struggling families in our neighborhoods.” Artemis Consulting prides itself on being involved in philanthropic organizations in our local communities by lending our time, expertise and financial support.
