2018 PyCon Conference

The Artemis team is back from a fun and stimulating three days at Pycon 2018 in Cleveland, Ohio.  Pycon is one of the largest gatherings of users of the open-source python programming language.  Artemis was a Silver Sponsor for the three-day conference that included talks, exhibitor booths, participant-lead Open Space discussions, end-of-day lightening talks, a poster session, and a job fair.  At the conference, our team members were able to meet with like-minded developers using the Open Space discussion rooms to discuss Python and Django in the Federal marketspace.  One of the highlights for us was the PyLadies charity auction at which Artemis donated a pair of coveted PyCon-logo-ed beer mugs and snacks.  Proceeds from the auction goes to the PyLadies, an international mentorship group that is helping more women become active members of the Python open-source movement through outreach, events and education.

Our developers and management were very excited to have been part of this event to meet and speak with many talented Python users.  They engaged with many organizations during the conference to better understand the various ways that Python is being used in the marketplace.  They are grateful to have had the opportunity to be a part of this significant event for the Python community.
