PHP (WORLD) 2016 Conference – Sheraton Premiere, Tysons Corner, Virginia, November 14-18 Wednesday, October 19, 2016

Two of the Artemis Team—Jay Muntz, Senior Consultant and Rohit Gupta, President—will be presenting at PHP (World) 2016 Conference this year. Their talk titled, “Working on a Large Federal Web Application” will discuss how Artemis Consulting supports one of the our Federal clients on several major web applications. Their presentation will offer developers insight into working on a large-scale complicated website with a sizeable team. The web application involves multiple components, technologies and stacks, and a formalized release cycle process.

Held since 2015, PHP (World) is a four-day educational conference for PHP developers to help improve their knowledge and productivity. The presentations include Keynote speakers, one-hour sessions, three hour tutorials, and half hour short talks. The conference was created to help bring together the various sub-communities of content management systems, application frameworks, and the larger PHP community that has been in existence. While the programming language powering most websites is PHP, many pre-built application systems, such as WordPress, Joomla!, Drupal, Magneto among others, have grown significantly over the years. As a result, there tend to be many large and segmented communities of each of the separate applications, in addition to the larger PHP community. Several years ago, the team behind php magazine wished to create a conference to bring together these separate communities. The goal was to design a conference that brought together the entire world of PHP together in one place to encourage the sharing of ideas.

Our presenters look forward to meeting other PHP developers and hearing about their experiences!
