Senior JavaScript Developer

- Under minimal direction, perform the Senior JavaScript Developer role on various web applications and infrastructure components

- Lead parts of new and existing front-end, back-end, and API development, translate business requirements into user stories

- Provide software engineering support using cutting-edge technologies and modern framework

- Collaborate with other developers, architects, and client team to build scalable solutions

- Work with other developers, testers, PMs to deliver high quality and deployable software within each sprint

- Work independently on development of code, creation of unit tests, rapid prototyping of new libraries

- Develop search-related functionality

- Mentor more junior developers when needed

- Keep up-to-date with latest technology trends and standards in the industry and evaluate the adoption of new technologies in solution architectures if applicable

- Automates and maintains deployments scripts using tools such as Jenkins and Ansible for continues integration and delivery


Must be flexible, able to work in a highly collaborative environment and work independently and collaboratively as needed; must be able to multi-task.

- 5-7 years of Objected Oriented Programming (e.g. Java, C++, PHP, Python, etc)

- 5+ years of critical thinking and overall problem solving skills

- 3+ years of JavaScript (OO) programming experience or MEAN stack experience

- 3+ years of solid JQuery programming experience

- 3+ years of database experience (Oracle, MySQL, Postgresql, or Mongo)

- 5+ years of HTML/CSS experience

- Experience with responsive HTML design, CSS, jQuery,and Bootstrap

- Ability to work independently and in an awesome team setting

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field Desired Qualifications

- 2+ years of experience in an Agile environment and strong understanding of Agile methodology

- Experience with 508 compliance web testing

- Federal Government experience as a contractor

- Experience using ticketing systems such as Jira and web collaboration tools such as Confluence


- Undergraduate Degree (in in computer science, engineering or related field) highly desired but can be substituted with 4 additional years of experience


- Work location is downtown DC (only occasional off-site work permitted)

- US Citizen or Permanent Resident or similar authorization to work (required by Federal client); background and credit check is necessary; we cannot sponsor visas
