CEO Speaks at Women in Technology Event Focused on Women Entrepreneurs
Artemis Consulting CEO, Amee Shah, was asked by Women in Technology (womenintechnology.org, @WITWomen) to speak at their “Lessons from the TechTANK” event. The program focused on providing entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs with access to subject matter experts in a range of business areas to help them tackle significant business challenges. Irene Lane, WIT Board Member and Emcee for the evening stated, “The goal of the event was to assist aspiring entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs who were facing a challenge in getting their project or company to the next level of growth.”
Ms. Shah was recognized as an expert in the area of designing and building operational resilience in a growing small business. “I was gratified to share my experiences from growing Artemis Consulting and other fledging business units,” said Ms. Shah.
Using a “speed-dating” approach, eleven subject matter experts shared their lessons learned and provided targeted advice. Over 80 women and men attending shared their own experiences. Ms. Shah enjoyed the opportunity to connect with each person who participated in her session, as did many of the other speakers. “I also enjoyed the open dialogue in which participants asked insightful questions and shared their successes as well as mistakes,” stated Ms. Shah. She spoke about the importance of ensuring that business growth is matched with operational maturity, and also highlighted the need to make sure the culture of the organization is imbued in each aspect of operations.
